And if so, what does it mean? I ask the question because the Democratic Party in the Flathead has been running a series of newspaper advertisements with this double-decker headline:
The ads report how local legislators voted on legislation on issues of importance to Democrats. Not surprisingly, the ads present tables of votes showing that local Republican legislators voted against bills that Democrats supported.
If I were designing the ads (and in years past, I have designed ads for Democrats), I’d use this headline:
