Combined cumulus and lenticular clouds rise over the Swan Range

Clouds over Swan Range

Cumulus clouds can have textures resembling cauliflower or a human brain, but revealing those textures requires a bit of processing in an application such as Adobe’s Photoshop.

I shot the scene through a polarizer, saved the image as a RAW file, and used Photoshop’s curves and shadows and highlights functions to increase the tonal range and contrast of the cloud.
