Curtis’ campaign director, Clayton Elliott, announced the hire at 1513 MDT today:
[Les] Braswell has served the past three years on Senator Jon Tester’s communications team, both in Missoula and Washington, D.C.
“Adding Les to our campaign team will ensure Amanda gets her grassroots message out to Montana voters” said Clayton Elliott, Curtis’ campaign manager. “Amanda will spend the next 66 days talking about the issues that Montana’s working families care about.”
According to his Linkedin profile, Braswell was awarded a B.S. degree in political science in 2009 by the University of South Carolina at Columbia. After an 8-month run as deputy finance director for Dwight Drake for Governor — short on cash, Drake quit the race — Braswell worked for a polling and public relations firm, Crantford Reasearch, before joining Tester’s office as a press intern in August, 2011, winning a promotion to deputy press secretary in December, 2012.
