Baucus in transition

Here’s how Sen. Max Baucus responded to a recent letter from a constituent:

Dear [Constituent]:

Thank you for taking the time to contact my office. The comments, concerns, and values of Montanans have always guided my work in the Senate, and your input makes me a better Senator.

As you may know, I have been nominated to serve our country as the next Ambassador to China. It has been the honor of a lifetime to serve you. Making sure you receive replies to your letters and calls in a timely fashion has always been a top priority to me. While I am continuing to work hard for Montana priorities, I will likely be leaving the Senate to serve in another capacity. I encourage you to contact my colleagues Senator Jon Tester or Congressman Steve Daines.

You may contact Senator Tester and/or Congressman Daines at the following addresses:

Senator Jon Tester
706 Hart Senate Office Building
Washington, DC 20510-2604
Phone: (202) 224-2644
Fax: (202) 224-8594

Congressman Steve Daines
206 Cannon House Office Building
Washington, DC 20515-0001
Phone: (202) 225-3211
Fax: (202) 225-5687

Thank you for your understanding.

Sincerely,
