More news from the Bernie booster front

sanders_bernie_125

The campaign’s pace is picking up. My thanks to all who help me keep up with it. Today, info on another meeting in Kalispell, more links to Bernie pages, and Secret Squirrel’s argument that Sanders is to Hillary Clinton as Ralph Nader was to Al Gore.

Flathead Sanders supporters meet tomorrow, 27 October, at 1700 in the downstairs meeting room of the Flathead County Library (AKA ImaginIF Libraries) in Kalispell. For more information, get in touch with Lisa Morrow by telephone (406-249-3981) or email. The group has a Facebook page, https://www.facebook.com/groups/flathead4bernie.

More links for Bernie boosters. Lisa Morrow supplied these links:

Updated. There are other pro-Sanders groups in Montana. One, Montanans for Bernie Sanders 2016, is neither associated with nor blessed by Morrow’s group, but it does have an active Facebook page. In Missoula, there’s Missoula United for Bernie. Sanders’ official website has an events page that allows you to search for events by Zip Code. There are some in Montana. I’m not sure whether the Flathead’s group has tied into this network yet.

An independent national group, Feel the Bern has plenty of enthusiasm and web savvy. It’s an excellent resource. The Bernie Post is an independent pro-Sanders news website that features stories on the hoopla that attends campaigning as well as on issues and such. Today’s leading report is on Sanders’ all-star rock band in Iowa. I didn’t recognize a name.

Secret Squirrel's attack on Sanders' supporters. You'll find this screed at Montana Cowgirl. Squirrel argues that Clinton will win the nomination by a landslide. That makes Sanders a spoiler. Therefore, voting for Sanders is tantamount to voting for Nader instead of Gore. It's a specious, patronizing, and deeply offensive, argument, but one that HRC's supporters will be making with increasing frequency and intensity. HRC's campaign, only too aware of its candidate's weaknesses, want to take out Sanders before the primaries. But attacks such as Squirrel's will only anger Bernie's boosters and redouble their resolve to continue the fight.
